BARBARA PAYNE WARD

Barbara, owner of Bois d’Arc Press, has an MFA in studio art, (printmaking and digital art), and a BA and MA in English/art education from West Texas A&M University, Canyon, Texas, and a graphic design degree from Amarillo College. Her prints exhibit internationally/nationally and are part of permanent and private collections in the United States, Australia, and Malaysia.

"My images begin as ideas. I explore questions about and connections to nature, human relationships, epiphanic life experiences, and our humanity. My drawings, paintings, photographs, hand-made and found objects serve as source material as they find their way into my visual images. My work consists of hand-pulled lithography, intaglio, serigraphy, and monotype prints, as well as mixed-media collages. Home is shared with four cats, Simba, Lulu Rose, Harvey and Elmer, in Amarillo, Texas."
